Primary School Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) Program
The Western Australian Curriculum’s Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) learning area encompasses four key subjects: Civics and Citizenship, Economics and Business, Geography, and History. Through HASS, students develop critical skills such as questioning, critical thinking, evidence-based decision-making, proposing actions, and effective communication.
Our program provides students with opportunities to explore the world—its past, present, and future—helping them appreciate the complex environments in which we live.
We adopt an integrated approach that connects with both student and teacher interests, ensuring relevance to individuals and groups. Collaborative year-level planning supports cross-curricular learning, linking HASS with reading, maths, and technologies to create meaningful, interconnected learning experiences.
